Even when the world
loved me
and rejoiced in 
all of it
I didn't realise
that both of us
were celebrating
the fullness 
of life.
To be full of beauty
is to appreciate 
it in another
and to appreciate
the beauty
of the world
is to be full of it
in oneself.
My soul 
breathes through
my flesh
all of it
and all the time
all the beauty
that is there
in this world 
and beyond.

When nothing is in sight
there appears suddenly
a green patch by 
the roadside
and next to it
a lake of clear waters,
warm sunshine and
a feeling of all goodness.
Things fall in place
and the soul on a swing
a song in the heart
and a lilt in the voice.
You wonder and then cease
to perplex on how it happens
and just soak in the feeling
standing and not pressing
on even a thought.

The ground covered
Bushes vying with each other
to catch every bit of sunshine
My soul listens to the song
being played in my veins
as my mind soars over
the spirit to paint
the skies with
colours of the unseen.

I hold communion with my soul
its vibrancy deserted
energy depleted
just accepting that life
can do this too
- castles built
- hopes dashed
- love betrayed
- dreams shattered
But I want to reassure
I am there
alive to life
not wanting to 
change or avenge
anything
but looking ahead
and looking here
in this pause
and let this silence
say what it will 
to me!

I offered all of mine
heart, soul and body
surrendered wholly
to the fire in the belly
and opened myself up
fully and totally
giving every ounce
of love and passion
and fire wanting to
be consumed not leaving
behind even a trace
of that paltry existence
merging in the vast expanse
of love and warmth
and here I am
reminiscing all that and more.

It is tough
but not hard
to be soft to yourself.
I lean for support
knowing my vulnerabilities
but walk I can
alone in the wilderness
pathlessly
with slender beginnings
to celebrate my 
expanse.
But it is tough
to heed the call
to bare my soul
to my self.
