I hold communion with my soul
its vibrancy deserted
energy depleted
just accepting that life
can do this too
- castles built
- hopes dashed
- love betrayed
- dreams shattered
But I want to reassure
I am there
alive to life
not wanting to
change or avenge
anything
but looking ahead
and looking here
in this pause
and let this silence
say what it will
to me!
