i discovered

a beauty

unknown

unseen

of shapes unimagined

textures untouched

and a roughness 

unhewn

and 

a toughness

weatherbeaten

but

standing tall

unconquered by

the elements.

And I found

there a resting place

that brought smile to

a weary traveller.

Vastness of space
I am trying to box
in a timeless gaze
What once was great
now stands dried stiff
What flows in my veins
will neither freeze nor cease
but will flow in the reins of the race
Yet there is a nameless throb
in my heart and in my loins
that makes me touch the
skin of the dry trunk.
