i discovered

a beauty

unknown

unseen

of shapes unimagined

textures untouched

and a roughness 

unhewn

and 

a toughness

weatherbeaten

but

standing tall

unconquered by

the elements.

And I found

there a resting place

that brought smile to

a weary traveller.
