Aren't we all in the dark
about our past
the real motives
ours and theirs
real feelings
ours and theirs
and about our present
real desires
and their hidden connections
ours and theirs?
And we are in the dark about
the future
and so we grope
in the dark
taking the only
certainty with us
of the moment
that is our
body
- the flame in the
mortal frame.

Landscape arid
light fading
lay of the land uneven
paths strewn with thorns
only heartbeats for company
flesh tightened by fear
and moistened by sweat
I trust only my body
- stark and naked
- soft and sensuous
- full of promise
and desires.

Pure joy

pure joy?
I did not, until
worries wafted away
desires deserted me
hopes leapt around fears
and both went up in thin air
Nothing was left to think
and it was pure joy
to breathe in pure air
and breathe out
Everything was singingly
beautiful
and all was on song.

realised
that inside
my flesh
throbbed a real person,
you would be something
else.
Lusting for the flesh
you lost it.
Passions ride my
desires too
but I know where
to take them.
I am but an instrument
and you too are one
for that cosmic orchestra
to play out
its symphonies.
If only you will 
listen to the call
of the yonder....

Much to ponder..

Much went by
and much gone through.
I know much to yet
come and fill me up
and fly me high.
It all blossoms and
in good time fade too.
But I uncover
layers to reveal
that throbbing life energy
and that is much to
ponder for a life time.

Waves

Waves break and form
incessantly
unwaveringly
and I watch
transfixed
on their play
all by myself
taking in
their eternity

Desires

I have desires and
I have no need to hide them
from you and me.
You may not be the right one
to reveal to;
but I have no way of knowing
and so I stop to check
if I could trust my guts.
