It is a wonderful moment
this one
when I simply take in
life
remembering its several gifts
and breathing joy 
of being alive
to all my inner throbbing
casting away old garments
of guilt and shame
having fully savoured 
pleasures of flesh and spirit
and ready for more
but not greedy.
It is fine to get soulmates
but nothing lasts
and so to desire permanency
is to run after a mirage
So here I am savouring
this moment and the next.

Short was the company
but great the warmth.
