I have
from all those
adornments of 
show
No longer am I
excited by
adulation
See through 
I can 
of showers of
affection
and complaints
I have none
for those are 
the ways of this world
brought up 
to serve up 
Self Interest
by pretend play
by touch-n-trick
by bow-n-bitch
It's just that I 
have had 
enough of it.

Present Moment

Those big leaves
bear drops of water
without getting wet
All my senses
take in pain and joy
without letting them
take possession
I jut watch the 
present moment
in which the world
plays on my stage
and once the play 
is over
I call the curtains
moving on 
to the next at
hand
for it is the present moment 
that is my real present -
fresh, bright and joyful.

It is a wonderful moment
this one
when I simply take in
life
remembering its several gifts
and breathing joy 
of being alive
to all my inner throbbing
casting away old garments
of guilt and shame
having fully savoured 
pleasures of flesh and spirit
and ready for more
but not greedy.
It is fine to get soulmates
but nothing lasts
and so to desire permanency
is to run after a mirage
So here I am savouring
this moment and the next.

the smoke 
to be exhaled

I sit high
up here
and nowhere.

I hold communion with my soul
its vibrancy deserted
energy depleted
just accepting that life
can do this too
- castles built
- hopes dashed
- love betrayed
- dreams shattered
But I want to reassure
I am there
alive to life
not wanting to 
change or avenge
anything
but looking ahead
and looking here
in this pause
and let this silence
say what it will 
to me!
