My mind overflows with emotion
I cannot contain myself

I have thrown off

all shackles of my past

It is a fresh morning

that brings new grace

throbbing flesh?

Neither love nor life,

you can hold back!

Both overflow out of

what universe

lies hidden

to the world!

balancing on your
delicate shoulders
needs care, or
you might trip
and reveal your
most delicate secrets
that you have guarded

Crossing

Well, I crossed it when I came to it

and now must choose

to wade ahead or plunge deep.

The sun doesn't lift

my spirits:

I left behind everything

and everyone

to be just myself

and feel the world in

the raw.  Now here I am

needing a shelter

lost in the resolve

to be myself.
